Bieberella

Dana Bieber, aka "The Bulldog" among her peers, has been a journalist for nearly two decades. She has worked as a reporter, copy editor, designer, news editor and managing editor at daily newspapers in South Dakota, Wyoming, Minnesota, Florida, California, Colorado and Pennsylvania.

She currently writes for The Mercury, a regional newspaper outside of Philadelphia, and contracts with TRS Consulting, Inc., as a medical writer.

She earned two bachelor degrees, in journalism and political science, and a Spanish minor from South Dakota State University in Brookings.

Bieber's accomplishments are as broad as her background.
In the mid-1990s, she worked for one of former Prime Minister John Major’s top advisers at the House of Commons, researching Mad Cow disease and concerns within his constituency of West Yorkshire. She also worked as a copy editor at Good Housekeeping magazine in London.

As a newspaper reporter, she has covered nearly every beat, from school board to city government to cops and court. She enjoys writing about people the most. That is evident in the book, "Made In Wyoming," which includes Bieber's profiles on some of the United States' most influential people.

Other notable stories include her coverage of Matthew Shepard and finding the South Dakota link to the Oklahoma City bombing.

She has two children, Rachella and Bruce Biebersmith, and a fiance, Wade Conner, whom she grew up with in Wheatland, WY.
